Mundaka

Mundaka is a coastal settlement situated at the mouth of the Oka River. The village centers around its colorful old port where traditional wooden boats are still moored. Surfers from across the globe gather here to ride the legendary wave that breaks along the sandbar. Historic landmarks like the Church of Santa Maria dominate the skyline above the narrow Atlantic streets. The surrounding estuary provides a sanctuary for numerous migratory birds and diverse marine life.
