Pena Amusgo Rock

Pena Amusgo is a limestone rock formation located in the heart of the natural park of Cazorla Segura and Las Villas. The monolith dominates the surrounding valleys and visually controls the upper course of the Guadalquivir river. Its steep vertical walls contrast sharply with the rolling pine covered highlands around it. The rock appears like an island of stone rising from a sea of green forest. This pure and monumental landscape creates a strong sense of untouched and primeval southern Spain.
