The Cross of Benidorm

About the place
The Cross of Benidorm stands 217 meters above sea level on Sierra Helada. The first wooden cross was placed here in 1961 as an act of penance and protest. Today, an iron structure marks the site, becoming the most famous viewpoint in the city. The surrounding cliffs and pine-covered trails sharply contrast with the skyscrapers of Benidorm, creating a striking natural-urban panorama. This location is ideal for sunsets, where city lights meet the dark Mediterranean, blending history and modernity in a dramatic ensemble.
