Montblanc

About the place
Montblanc is a medieval fortified town encircled by a monumental 14th century wall with twenty eight towers. The town is traditionally linked to the legend of Saint George, who is said to have defeated the dragon here. The surrounding landscape is quiet and rugged, with rolling hills of the Conca de Barbera covered in vineyards and limestone foothills of the Prades mountains. Narrow streets, stone gates, and historic squares form a cohesive and well preserved medieval ensemble. At sunset, the limestone walls glow in deep red tones, enhancing the timeless atmosphere of the town.
