About the place
A small, detailed museum housed in the keeper's quarters at the base of Cape Cavalleria's white tower on Menorca's wild northern coast. Exhibits explore the evolution of navigation in these treacherous waters, the tragic shipwrecks that occurred before the lighthouse was illuminated in 1857, and the isolated lives of the lighthouse keepers. A café on site serves drinks, coffee and cake. The real draw is the location: perched on dramatic cliffs with Mediterranean views that peak at sunset.
