Pool Los Chochos is a natural pool on the northwest of Tenerife, located in the municipality of Los Silos. This picturesque pool was formed by volcanic eruptions, creating unique shapes filled with salty Atlantic water. The pool reaches a depth of about 2 meters, and access is provided via stone stairs with handrails, making it convenient for visitors of all ages. The name “Los Chochos” comes from the local tradition of soaking “chochos” beans in salt water to reduce their bitterness. This place is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and observing marine life, especially when the sea is calm. From here, there is a stunning view of the La Culata cliffs and, on clear days, the Teide volcano.
