Balcon de Europa

About the place
Balcon de Europa is a wide pedestrian terrace built on the site of a former coastal fortress. The viewpoint is named after King Alfonso XII, who was struck by the beauty of the horizon during a visit in the nineteenth century. Below the balcony, several small sandy coves are tucked between the rocks and reachable by stairs. The plaza is lined with palm trees and historic cannons that remind visitors of the site's defensive past. It serves as the vibrant social heart of the town, where people gather to enjoy the sea breeze and the sunset.
