El Caminito del Rey

El Caminito del Rey is a historic hiking trail along the cliffs of the El Chorro gorge. The modern walkway is secured above the original semi-ruined concrete path, creating a striking visual effect. Walking along narrow footbridges more than 100 meters above the river, visitors feel the scale of the cliffs and the power of the Guadalhorce far below. The trail showcases both natural grandeur and early 20th-century industrial engineering, including rails, brackets, and water channels. The highlight is the suspension mesh bridge at the end, offering an exhilarating experience over the abyss.
