Banana plantations fill the slope below the car park, terrace after terrace of broad green leaves, and beyond them the Atlantic runs out to the horizon. Turn along the coast and the shoreline stretches away; turn inland and the mountains rise behind.
The car park already has a view, but the better one is lower down. Paths lead from the parking area through the terraces to the viewpoint proper, with the plantations around you and the sea ahead. On a clear evening the sun goes down over the water, and the place stays quiet.
