El Lance Viewpoint

The El Lance viewpoint is located on the northwest of Tenerife and is one of the best spots to observe the Orotava Valley, the towns of La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, and Los Realejos, as well as the Atlantic Ocean. A notable feature of this site is the large bronze statue of Mencey Bentor, a Guanche who, according to legend, leaped from this cliff to avoid capture during the conquest of the island. Today, the statue stands as a symbol of local history and culture. The viewpoint is also equipped with a café and terrace, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.
