Montfalco to Montrebei Stairway Trail is a hiking route carved into vertical limestone cliffs above a deep canyon. The stair system creates a strong sensation of height and movement through space, with the rock face rising directly beside the path. The surrounding landscape is quiet and rugged, shaped by massive orange cliffs, narrow gorges, and the calm surface of the Canelles reservoir. The trail was built to reconnect the abandoned village of Montfalco with the Montrebei gorge, reviving historic mountain routes.
