Regato de la Cribera Waterfall

About the place
Regato de la Cribera Waterfall drops from a granite ledge into a narrow canyon, surrounded by juniper and oak vegetation. The rugged terrain features steep slopes and rocky terraces descending to the Douro River. Water crashes onto boulders at the base, contrasting with the still granite walls and olive groves above. The waterfall’s ephemeral nature makes it most impressive after rains and delicate during dry summers. The secluded setting preserves a pristine environment, where only the sound of falling water breaks the silence of Arribes.
