Sanctuary of Arantzazu

The Sanctuary of Arantzazu is a famous church built high in the mountains above a deep valley. The stone walls of the main building are covered with sharp points that look like diamonds. Inside the sanctuary, a huge wooden carving fills the space behind the main altar. This place was designed by well-known artists to look modern and natural at the same time. Many people come here to start their walks toward the green mountain fields nearby.
