San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is a unique rocky islet topped by a small church dedicated to John the Baptist. The journey to this historic site involves crossing a man-made bridge and climbing a steep staircase of over two hundred steps. According to local legend, visitors should ring the bell at the top three times to make a wish and drive away evil spirits. This location gained worldwide fame as a filming site for a popular television series, where it represented Dragonstone. Entry to the site is regulated to protect the natural environment and preserve the rugged beauty of the Basque coastline.
