Talaiot de Binicalsitx is an archaeological site in the municipality of Ferreries, on Menorca, reached from the road that runs down to Cala Galdana. Its centrepiece is a talaiot, one of the dry-stone towers raised by the island's Talayotic culture in late prehistory. In the field next to it lie the remains of a second monument, the Binimassó taula (Taula de Binimassó), with its enclosure. The site is little known and draws few visitors.

What makes it special
Two monuments share one stop here. The talaiot stands beside the Cala Galdana road, a mound of heavy stone blocks laid without mortar, and in the neighbouring field lie the remains of the Binimassó taula and the enclosure that once surrounded it.
A taula is Menorca's own kind of prehistoric monument: a broad slab set across an upright pillar, shaped like a giant T, at the heart of a walled precinct. Seeing one beside a talaiot puts the two main building types of the island's Talayotic culture in a single field of view.
The site is little known, so you will often have the stones to yourself. It lies on the way to Cala Galdana and fits easily into a day at the beach.
Good to know
- Signposting is poor. Save the location in your map app before you set out.
- Look in the neighbouring field for the remains of the Binimassó taula and its enclosure; they belong to the same visit.
- There are no toilets, no drinking water and no information point at the site, and none nearby. Bring water.
- The car parks closest to the site are for customers only, so decide where to leave the car before you arrive.

The two car parks nearest the site, about 373 m and 792 m away in a straight line, are for customers only; the further one belongs to El Gallo.

Best time to visit
Best: early morning or late afternoon, on the way to or from Cala Galdana.
Avoid: the middle of a summer day.
The monuments stand in open fields, and a low sun both spares you the midday heat and throws the joints of the big stone blocks into relief for photographs.
Access & restrictions
The talaiot and the taula are protected prehistoric monuments. Do not climb the talaiot or the enclosure walls, and leave every stone where it lies: the blocks are held in place by their own weight, with no mortar. The taula stands in a field, and if you pass through a gate on the way, leave it as you found it.
