Embalse de la Torraeta is a small technical reservoir that is part of the complex Turia river irrigation system. Unlike the large Loriguilla reservoir, it remains off the main tourist routes but has its own industrial-natural charm. The reservoir’s water mirrors the sky, framed by steep cliffs with Mediterranean vegetation. The site illustrates 20th-century engineering efforts to manage Valencia’s water resources for irrigation and hydroelectricity. Its combination of concrete structures and natural contours creates a harmonious blend of industry and landscape.
