Guindaste Viewpoint

The Guindaste viewpoint is located near the mouth of the Ribeira do Faial river in the northeastern part of Madeira Island, in the municipality of Santana. It offers stunning panoramic views of the northern coast of the island — from Faial Beach to Ponta de São Lourenço and the endless Atlantic Ocean. One of the highlights of the viewpoint is its two transparent glass platforms extending over the ocean, giving the feeling of floating above the sea. It’s an ideal spot for photos, especially at sunrise, with dramatic cliffs, ocean waves, and breathtaking natural scenery.
