Gulpiyuri Beach

About the place
Gulpiyuri Beach is a rare geological phenomenon where a small sandy beach exists far from the visible coast. The basin fills with ocean water through underground limestone channels during high tide, forming a hidden natural pool. The surrounding green meadows and low hills create a striking contrast with the turquoise water. During low tide, most water returns underground, leaving only wet sand. The beach is protected as a natural monument and is considered one of Europe’s most unusual coastal sites.
