Mallos de Aguero

About the place
Mallos de Aguero is a monumental natural landmark consisting of massive vertical rocks with rounded shapes rising up to two hundred meters high. These geological formations were created millions of years ago through the accumulation of river sediments and subsequent erosion. The cliffs encircle the ancient settlement, creating a unique landscape that attracts photographers and nature lovers from all over the world. Circular hiking trails allow visitors to walk around the massif and spot griffon vulture nests on the sheer walls. In the evening, the rocks change color, taking on a deep ochre hue under the rays of the setting sun.
