Village Oto

Village Oto

About the place

Oto — a well-preserved medieval village at the entrance to the Broto valley, exemplifying traditional Aragonese Pyrenean architecture. Stone houses with family crests, narrow cobbled streets, and traditional chamineras chimneys with protective espantabrujas stones create an authentic historical atmosphere. The village’s central feature is the defensive Torre de Oto from the XV–XVI centuries, reflecting its strategic past. The ensemble includes the Church of San Saturnino, combining a Romanesque base with later Baroque additions. Situated on a gentle slope above the valley, Oto blends harmoniously with the surrounding mountain landscape.
