About the place

Passo delle Erbe is a picturesque mountain pass in the Dolomites that connects the Badia Valley with the Luson Valley. The pass lies at an elevation of about 2,000 meters, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding alpine landscapes. It is surrounded by green meadows, rocky cliffs, and prominent peaks such as Sass de Putia, Geisler, and Gabler. It is a popular starting point for hiking, with trails of various difficulty levels leading to viewpoints, alpine huts, and natural attractions. In winter, the area becomes a peaceful destination for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter photography. Visitors can stop at small restaurants and mountain huts to enjoy local cuisine while admiring the grandeur of the surrounding peaks. Passo delle Erbe is also rich in flora and fauna: in summer, alpine flowers bloom here, and attentive hikers may spot marmots and chamois.
