Lake Federa

Lake Federa is a picturesque high-altitude lake in the Dolomites, near Cortina d’Ampezzo. It is located at an elevation of about 2,046 m above sea level at the foot of the rocky mass called Rock above the Lake. Fed by underground springs, its water level hardly changes throughout the year, and in calm weather the water often reflects the surrounding peaks. The lake can be reached on foot or by bicycle. On the shore, there is the Gianni Palmeri mountain hut, which is convenient for resting, taking photos, or starting a longer hike.
