Torre Romana

Torre Romana

About the place

Torre Romana is one of the rocky spires of the Cinque Torri group in the Dolomites of northern Italy. It is part of the “Second Tower” along with Torre Luzi and Torre del Barancio. The rock is made of pale grey dolomite, and its narrow spire attracts climbers: the classic “Diedro Squiattoli” route runs along its northern face. The base can be reached from nearby huts or via trails from the road to Cinque Torri — a short walk from the parking lot or chairlift. Against the backdrop of alpine meadows and the majestic peaks of the Dolomites, Torre Romana together with the neighboring towers offers stunning mountain views and a sense of untamed wilderness.
