Lake Sorapis

Lake Sorapis

About the place

Lake Sorapis is a glacial alpine lake in the Dolomites, located at approximately 1,925 m above sea level. Its water has a stunning turquoise-blue color due to fine rock dust from the melting glacier, giving the lake an unreal glow. The lake is hidden in a natural mountain amphitheater surrounded by steep cliffs and sharp Dolomite peaks β€” a landscape that captivates and enchants. It can only be reached on foot β€” the trail from the Tre Croci Pass is about 10–12 km round trip, with narrow paths, steep sections, and metal ladders, but the effort is worthwhile β€” the nature and views here are simply incredible!
