Puentedey Natural Bridge

About the place
Puentedey Natural Bridge was formed by water erosion cutting through soft limestone over millions of years. The tunnel below carries the lazy flow of the Nela river, surrounded by vertical cliffs covered with greenery and moss. On top, stone houses and the church of San Pelayo create a remarkable silhouette above the valley. The contrast between the massive rock base and delicate medieval structures makes Puentedey highly photogenic. The village was officially recognized in 2022 as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain.
