Salt Mountain Cultural Park

About the place

Salt Mountain Cultural Park is a museum complex and geological site located inside an expanding salt diapir. Inside the mountain, guided tours lead through abandoned mining galleries at a depth of eighty meters. Visitors can observe spectacular caverns with walls covered in natural layers of white and red salt, as well as unique stalactite formations. The park also features an industrial area showcasing the machinery used for extraction until the mine ceased operations. The site provides a clear look at both the geological formation of minerals and the region's industrial history.
