Pont de Pedret

About the place
The Pont de Pedret is a medieval bridge featuring a distinctive humpback shape and five pointed arches of unequal size. Built in the 13th century, this stone structure was designed to provide a secure crossing over the Llobregat River toward the sanctuary of Pedret. The bridge is notable for its solid Gothic architecture, which has remarkably survived centuries of seasonal floods. Its proximity to the Pre-Romanesque church of Sant Quirze de Pedret makes the site a significant cultural landmark in the region. Hikers often use the bridge as a key point on the greenways that connect the industrial heritage of the valley with the natural mountain scenery.
