Parks

Twenty-eight of these parks are in Spain, mostly in Valencia and on the Balearic and Canary Islands; eight are in Iceland and six on Madeira. About a dozen are botanical or landscaped gardens, from Monte Palace above Funchal to Skrúður in the Westfjords. Scale varies more than the label suggests. Heiðmörk runs to 3,200 hectares with marked loops up to 12 km, while other entries are town parks and picnic areas.
