Via Ferratas

Steel cables, rungs and ladders run up vertical limestone. The routes climb the Esera River gorge at Olvena, the La Hermida gorge in Cantabria and the cliffs above the Canelles reservoir. Five of the nine are in Aragon, the rest in Cantabria, Catalonia and Castile and Leon. Difficulty spans the whole scale: K1 at Los Duendes de Sorrosal near Broto, K3 at La Hermida, K6 on the overhanging walls of Feliz Navidad. Only the K1 route suits families with children.
