glaciers

A glacier is a large mass of dense ice formed as a result of the long-term accumulation and compaction of snow. Over time, the snow turns into crystalline ice, and under its own weight, the glacier begins to slowly move down slopes or spread across plains. Glaciers are mainly found in mountains and polar regions, where the climate is cold and the snow cover persists for many years.
