The Red Canyon

About the place
The canyon is composed of soft sandstone and clay, carved into vertical columns, sharp ridges, and narrow corridors by wind and water erosion. The rock walls display layered sedimentary structures, revealing the geological history of the region. Iron oxide gives the cliffs their intense red and terracotta hues, which become especially vivid at sunset. Sparse vegetation contrasts sharply with the warm tones of the rock and the deep blue Aragon sky. The calm atmosphere inside the canyon is broken only by the wind echoing between the walls.
