Zújar Thermal Baths are a group of hot springs at the hamlet of Baños de Zújar, in the municipality of Zújar, province of Granada. They rise at the foot of Cerro Jabalcón, a lone mountain over the Baza basin, beside the Negratín reservoir (Embalse del Negratín). The waters have been used for bathing since Roman times. The old spa building went under when the reservoir was filled, and bathing moved to pools above the waterline.

What makes it special
On a cold morning the steam lifts off the hot water while the reservoir below keeps its turquoise colour. The springs rise at the foot of Cerro Jabalcón, which stands alone over the Baza basin, and the pools look straight out across the Negratín reservoir.
Bathers have come to these waters since Roman times. When the dam flooded the valley, the old spa house went under, and the bathing moved uphill to new pools above the waterline.
