Aguas Negras Reservoir is a high mountain water body formed by a small historic dam in a remote forested valley. The reservoir is fed by underground springs and clear mountain streams forming exceptionally pure water. The approach route passes through carved rock tunnels and along steep cliffs creating a strong sense of isolation. After a demanding ascent the landscape suddenly opens to a calm mirror of water surrounded by gray peaks. The combination of untouched nature and early industrial structures enhances the feeling of a lost world.
