The Castril River Gorge Walk (The Walkways) is a unique hiking route in Granada province, built along the vertical walls of the canyon. Walkers traverse steel and wooden pathways suspended above the turquoise river, including a swinging suspension bridge and a dark tunnel carved into limestone. The trail showcases the dramatic scale of the canyon, with waterfalls and cliffs forming a spectacular natural orchestra, while reflections in the river create ever-changing views. Originally constructed to connect a hydroelectric plant with the village, the walkways now serve purely for scenic exploration, accessible to all ages thanks to safety railings and gentle gradients.
