Castril River Spring Natural Reserve is located in the Sierra de Castril mountains, Andalusia. The river emerges forcefully from underground karst channels creating waterfalls and clear pools. The surrounding limestone cliffs form a steep amphitheater enhancing the visual impact. The site shows the dynamic interaction of solid mountains and suddenly appearing water. The extensive underground cave system has earned the area protected status.
