Capellans Point

Capellans Point

About the place

Capellans Point rises over a narrow stretch of the Ebro where the river cuts through limestone plateaus. The viewpoint shows the winding river channel, rocky terraces, and sparse Mediterranean vegetation. The promontory’s layered sedimentary rocks create a dramatic arid canyon landscape. Historical traces remain from Civil War fortifications along this strategic bank. The area is also popular with anglers and kayakers navigating the river’s challenging sections.
