Old Church of Miravet

The Old Church of Miravet is a monumental Renaissance church built by the Hospitallers, perched on a rocky cliff above the Ebro River. Its solid stone structure rises dramatically from the cliff, blending architecture and landscape. Damage sustained during the Civil War led to its desacralization, and the building now serves as a cultural venue. The church preserves its austere majesty while providing views over the river and town below. It remains a testament to the historical and religious significance of Miravet.
