Santa Florentina Castle

Santa Florentina Castle is a private residence built upon the ruins of an ancient Roman villa and redesigned in the late 19th century by the renowned architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. The architectural style is characterized by an abundance of stained glass, mosaics, marble floors, and intricately carved woodwork, establishing the fortress as a masterpiece of Catalan Modernism. The structure retains its defensive features, including massive towers, crenelated walls, and lush inner courtyards. The castle gained significant international fame as a filming location for "Game of Thrones," where it served as Horn Hill. The site represents a unique fusion of historical fortification and elegant palatial design.
