Tallada Cave

Tallada Cave

About the place

Tallada Cave is a large coastal cave and former quarry located at the base of steep limestone cliffs. Since the medieval period, soft sandstone was cut here and transported by sea to nearby towns. The interior consists of vast chambers with straight walls and sharp angles shaped by human hands. Light entering from the sea highlights tool marks preserved on the stone surfaces. The cave forms a powerful blend of natural rock, history, and maritime landscape.
