The town of Cuellar is dominated by the Castle of the Dukes of Alburquerque, a majestic fortress-palace that combines military and Gothic elements. Enclosed within its defensive perimeter, the town boasts the largest collection of Mudejar-style buildings in the northern Spanish plateau. Visitors can explore the Walls of Cuellar, one of the most complete and extensive medieval wall systems remaining in the region. The historic center is famous for its traditional festivals, including the oldest documented bull run in Spain, dating back to the thirteenth century.
