Dalvik Town

Dalvik Town is located on the northern coast of Iceland along Eyjafjörður. The town offers traditional Icelandic charm with colorful boats, the smell of the sea, and surrounding mountains. It is one of the best spots in the country for whale watching, with high chances to see humpback whales. Dalvik is also an important transport hub, with ferries to Grímsey Island, the only part of Iceland above the Arctic Circle. Each August, the town hosts the “Great Fish Day” (Fiskidagurinn mikli), offering free seafood to visitors.
