About the place

Grödner Joch is an impressive high‑mountain pass in the Dolomites at 2,121 m, connecting the Val Gardena and Val Badia valleys. From the pass, panoramic views open up to the surrounding peaks: the Sella massif to the south, the Cir group to the north, the Langkofel massif to the west, and the Fanes / Val Badia mountains to the east. In summer, the pass is popular for hiking, climbing, and cycling; in winter, it is part of a major ski and sports area. The winding mountain road leads to numerous trails, alpine huts, and breathtaking panoramas.
