Gorges on the Nuria Path

About the place
Gorges on the Nuria Path run through steep granite and slate walls that almost touch each other, leaving only a narrow strip of sky. The river’s force has carved smooth stone channels and scattered boulders along its course. The trail is cut into the cliff, offering panoramic views of the turbulent waters far below. For centuries, pilgrims used this path before the rack railway opened in 1931. Nearby, the Cremadel bridge and small hydroelectric works demonstrate the interaction of human engineering with natural power.
