La Foradada
About the place
La Foradada is a prominent peak in the Val de Gallinera valley known for its giant natural arch. The limestone walls drop steeply into the valley planted with cherry and olive trees. Twice a year sunlight passes through the arch illuminating the ruins of an old monastery. The site combines striking geological features with panoramic views of cultivated landscapes. Its isolated and elevated position gives a sense of connection to history and nature.
