Marbore Lake

About the place
Marbore Lake is a natural glacial basin hidden behind the steep rocky ascent known as the "Balcon de Pineta." The lake's water remains icy year-round, its deep blue color contrasting sharply with the surrounding gray cliffs and snowfields. Towering above the still surface are the majestic peaks and glacier of Monte Perdido, creating a rugged high-mountain landscape. Reaching the lake requires significant physical effort due to the steep elevation gain, but it rewards hikers with panoramic views over the entire valley below. This site is an essential part of the traditional landscape of the region, where the raw beauty of the mountains remains perfectly preserved.
