Anayet Lakes

About the place
Anayet Lakes are high-altitude glacial pools located at an elevation of over 2200 meters. The lakes sit on a vast peat bog surrounded by red volcanic rocks and sharp mountain ridges. This plateau offers one of the most photographed views in the Aragon region due to its unique geological contrast. Surface waters remain frozen for several months of the year, creating a stark and impressive winter landscape. Hikers reach this natural balcony to enjoy the panoramic perspective of the surrounding Pyrenean massifs.
