Acherito Lake is a high-altitude natural basin surrounded by an amphitheater of dark, craggy peaks at 1,875 meters. Its clear waters reflect the rugged contours of summits like Peña Forca and La Rata peak. Expansive alpine meadows surround the lake, where grazing horses or wild chamois are frequently spotted. Due to the lack of modern infrastructure, the trek to the lake retains the spirit of a true mountain expedition. This site is an essential component of the traditional landscape of the region, showcasing the untouched beauty of the western Pyrenees.
