Aguas Tuertas is a wide glacial valley characterized by an almost perfectly horizontal riverbed and surrounding red rocky slopes. The river slowly winds through bright alpine meadows, forming a complex pattern of curves visible from the surrounding hills. The absence of trees emphasizes the open scale of the plateau and the strict geometry of the landscape. Red sandstone cliffs rise sharply above the valley floor, creating a strong contrast between vertical walls and flat terrain. The valley preserves a pristine appearance shaped by ice and water since the last glacial period.
