Ibon de Creguena

About the place
The Ibon de Creguena lake is a massive natural glacial basin locked within a deep stone cirque. It is notable for its impressive scale and deep blue waters, which often remain frozen until early summer. The lake is framed by a chaos of giant granite boulders and sharp summits, including the Maladeta peak. The ascent to the lake is considered one of the most demanding in the region due to the steep terrain and lack of easy paths. This site highlights the traditional high-mountain landscape, remaining one of the wildest and most pristine corners of the Pyrenees.
