Lake Ibon de Anayet is a natural glacial basin resting on a vast peat moor surrounded by the remnants of an ancient volcano. The water's still surface is famous for its flawless reflection of the jagged Midi d'Ossau peak, forming one of the most iconic vistas in the Pyrenees. The terrain here offers a pleasant contrast to the rugged granite highlands, blending the stark Anayet peak cliffs with emerald alpine meadows and winding streams.
